Chromaflow crayons are the latest new line from Derwent, launched in 2021.

Three years later, in 2024, 28 new colors were added to the original 72 shades, complementing the entire set thematically. 

The 100-piece set joins other Derwent crayons that can be purchased in this quantity - Lightfast and Inktense.

By expanding the range of colors, Derwent is responding to increased customer interest in large crayon sets.

Derwent has launched a new line of crayons that resemble the legendary Prismacolor crayons in their properties. 

Crayons were first introduced to the market in the USA, where Prismacolor crayons currently dominate.

The set was a success with customers in the US and it was decided to sell it fully worldwide. 

The crayons have a soft lead that glides smoothly and softly on the paper. 

They shade and layer perfectly with each other. 

The polishing effect is achieved after more than six layers, taking into account the resulting color effect. 

The pencil is highly pigmented, achieving rich color variations on paper. 

Compared to other Derwent crayons, Chromaflow have a smaller lead diameter of the standard 3.5 mm, which is the width common to most other brands of crayons, including Prismacolor. 

The crayons have a black coating with a colored dipping tip that corresponds to the color of the lead. 

Crayons are not water-washable. 

The set is supplied in a metal cassette of 100 pieces.
