Aquatone are great watercolor sticks. 

Their advantage is maximum use of the entire crayon, thanks to the fact that it is wood-free.

The entire body of the stick consists of pigmented lead, which is protected by a layer of paper that gradually unwinds as you work. Thanks to this technology, Aquatone contains 4x more lead than other watercolor crayons. 

The sticks can be used for both dry and wet painting, as well as for blending. Wet techniques will bring out the full and bright shades of Aquatone. 

You can use the sticks as crayons and paint with the tip, you can also break them into smaller pieces and work with them similarly to oil pastel (flat), you can grate them on paper and then blend them, or grate them into a container, dilute with water and then use as a liquid medium. There are many options and variations.
