Pitt Graphite Matt is the first graphite pencil with a matte, dark black graphite trace. How and where did the idea to develop a matte graphite pencil come from?

In art, the optimal presentation of artworks, whether physically in an exhibition or digitally on websites and art platforms, is very important. Light exposure is a recurring challenge. In adverse lighting conditions, light reflections can even swallow up the details of a drawing. This can also happen when digitizing drawings for online presentation. This problem is now solved by Pitt Graphite Matt, a new graphite pencil with a deep matte finish that minimizes light reflections and preserves the authenticity of each artwork.

What is the difference between Pitt Graphite Matt pencils and regular graphite pencils?

Classic graphite pencils leave a shiny mark on the paper in varying shades of black based on the hardness of the pencil used. For everyday writing and basic sketching or drawing, the glossy graphite effect is not an obstacle. The problem arises when the image is digitized, because the shiny graphite mark reflects light and the final effect does not display the original completely authentically. The Pitt Graphite Matt graphite pencil leaves a matte, black mark on the paper, which reduces light reflections as much as possible. This means that light that falls on the image from any point is not reflected and does not prevent even the smallest details from standing out.

The lead is glued into the wood using special SV technology, which prevents the pencil from breaking. 

The lead has good abrasion, but at the same time it does not create excessive dust. 

The wood is FSC certified and comes from forests that have been sustainably managed over the long term.
